My wife  and myself celebrated our one year anniversary this weekend. We spent the weekend in a cabin in Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia. It was a great weekend, particularly because the drive was simple at two hours, our cabin was immaculately clean, and the camp ground was well kept. We visited the local towns, Shepherds town, Charles-town, and Harper’s Ferry which were all within 10-15 minutes of each other. They all have shops with all sorts of antiques, a massive flea market, books, food, taverns, bed and breakfasts and other things. The Appalachian trail runs right through the town of Harper’s Ferry, which was interesting because you constantly were passed by back packers with full gear. I would recommend any Lancaster County Resident to check out Harper’s Ferry for a good weekend (or longer) Trip.
